Sweet Beet Nutrition was created by San Diego-based nutritionist and chef Amy Carson with the intention of putting the heart and soul back into food. Armed with a sharp knife and a bushel of beets, she sets out to dispel the myths, and empower the public to take control of their own health.
As a personal chef, Amy melds traditional kitchen wisdom with nutritional know-how and international flavors to create a style that is fresh, colorful and fun. Her cuisine is based on seasonal, organic, and locally-grown produce, and can be adapted for vegetarians, vegans and omnivores alike. She also specializes in cooking for those with dietary restrictions or specific health concerns.
In her holistic nutrition practice Amy interacts with the global community as an online nutritionist and coach. She is especially interested in helping those suffering from digestive issues, including IBS, GERD, gluten intolerance and other food sensitivities.
